Eligibility:demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities and the potential to make a valuable contribution to Canada.
-  be Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents.
- have completed at least 30 credit hours, including at least 24 credit hours at The University of Winnipeg.
- have a minimum Grade Point Average of 3.75 on all courses completed to date.
-continue as registered students in a University of Winnipeg undergraduate degree program in the academic year of the award (i.e. 2011-12).
-To encourage students at The University of Winnipeg, who combine outstanding academic achievement and exceptional leadership qualities, to pursue their studies at the University and to develop their potential to make a valuable contribution to Canada.

Scholarship Description: Sir William Stephenson (1896-1989) was born in the Point Douglas area of Winnipeg and attended Argyle School. Throughout his remarkable life, he excelled in every activity in which he was involved and always exemplified the highest qualities of dedication and patriotism.To encourage students at The University of Winnipeg, who combine outstanding academic achievement and exceptional leadership qualities, to pursue their studies at the University and to develop their potential to make a valuable contribution to Canada.
