The following selection criteria will be used to distinguish between candidates.The panel will assess the extent to which each candidate shows evidence of:
-Being an outstanding mathematical scientist (as evidenced by publications, etc)
-Holding a senior academic position in another Higher Education Institution in the UK or abroad
-Having collaborative skills, and being able to contribute to research carried out in OCCAM
-Having a strong interest in at least one of the areas defined above: Methodologies, Resources,Energy and Environment, Biosciences and Bioengineering, Materials Science and Engineering

Scholarship Description:
The aim is to attract high-level expertise to OCCAM for brief visitor periods to energise the research programme and complement the expertise of staff appointed to the project. It is expected that the visiting fellows will hold senior academic appointments in other institutions in the UK or abroad from which they will be taking leave to participate in the work of OCCAM.While at OCCAM they will:
-Be actively involved in OCCAM’s research programme and bring expertise that will complement and supplement that of existing and future staff;
-Collaborate with other academic staff in the planning and organisation of current and future research activities.
OVFs will be expected to interact with OCCAM’s research teams as described above and will also have freedom to pursue other lines of research.
